Fajran Zain | Senior Researcher
He got a Bachelor Degree in Islamic Studies from Institut Agama Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah (IAIN Syahid) Jakarta, Indonesia (1992-1997); and a Master Degree in Cognitive Psychology from Ball State University (BSU), Indiana, US (2005–2007) under a Fulbright Scholarship scheme, following a Master Degree in Social Psychology from Universitas Indonesia (UI), Jakarta (1999-2001) and is now on the last stage of a PhD degree in Political Psychology from the Australian National University (ANU), Australia, under the Australian Research Council (ARC) scheme. He actively contributes ideas through local and national mass media as well as present it through national and international forum. Afridal Darmi
Pernah menjabat sebagai direktur Lembaga Bantuan Hukum (LBH) Banda Aceh. Gelar Sarjana Hukum (SH) diperoleh dari Fakultas Hukum Universitas Syiah Kuala (1997) dan gelar Master diperoleh dari Northwestern University School of Law, Chicago, US (2005) dengan konsentrasi bidang HAM International melalui skema beasiswa fulbright. Selain sebagai advokat dan pembela HAM, Afridal juga aktif sebagai fasilitator dan konsultan dalam berbagai program masyarakat sipil Aceh; aktif dalam berbagai kegiatan advokasi demokrasi dan perdamaian; juga meneliti serta menulis seputar isu-isu keadilan, hukum, HAM, dan konflik. Amrijal J. Prang
Dosen fakultas hukum Universitas Malikul Saleh (Unimal) Lhokseumawe. Gelar Sarjana Hukum (SH) dalam bidang Hukum Tata Negara diraih dari Unimal pada tahun 2003 sementara gelar LLM diraih dari Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) dengan konsentrasi pada hukum Tata Negara (2008). Amrizal adalah juga Direktur Pusat Studi Hukum dan Perundang-undangan (PuSHU) Aceh yang juga aktif menulis di media dan jurnal lokal maupun nasional. Zubaidah Djohar
Konsultan penelitian sosial berperspektif gender di beberapa NGO lokal dan international di Aceh. Aktif memfasilitasi workshop bertema perdamaian dan resolusi konflik. Gelar master diperoleh dari UI (2003) dengan konsentrasi di bidang Kajian Wanita. Aktif menulis di beberapa media massa lokal dan nasional serta ikut berkontribusi pada beberapa buku seperti “women Speech After Tsunami and Conflict in Aceh” (UNIFEM, 2008); Jika Kepedulian Menjadi Solusi: Peran Organisasi Perempuan Aceh dalam Proses Penyelesaian Konflik, dalam “Perempuan dan Hukum” (yayasan Obor Jakarta, 2006). M.F Zakwan
Penuntut tahun akhir Ijazah Sarjana Muda Pengajian Strategi, National Defence University of Malaysia, M.F Zakwan merupakan pelajar daripada Malaysia yang melaksanakan praktikum di The Aceh Institute bermula pada23 Agustus 2013 sehingga 30 Januari 2014. Menjadikan Aceh Institute sebagaitempat medapatkan informasi dan data, beliau berusaha untuk melakukan penelitian ringkas untuk kerja kursus (thesis) jurusannya untuk memenuhi kehendak pengijazahannya. Beliau aktif dalam menghadiri beberapa seminar yang berkaitandengan pembangunan Aceh pasca konflik yang dilaksanakan sekitar provinsi Aceh untuk mendapatkan seberapa banyak informasi untuk mendalami sejarah, struktur politik, pembangunan social dan ekonomi, serta memahami kelainan provinsi ini sama dan sebelum atau pun pascakonflik. Hafas Furqani
He is currently a lecturer at the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, Ar-Raniry State Islamic University Banda Aceh, Indonesia. He is also a research fellow at ISRA (International Shariah Research Academy for Islamic Finance). He received his Ph.D in Economics (2012) as well as Master of Economics (2006), from the Department of Economics, International Islamic University Malaysia. His bachelor degree is in Shari’ah Mu’amalah from the State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah, Jakarta (2002). Hafas has written and presented articles in the areas of Shari’ah, Islamic economics, banking and finance in academic journals as well as newspapers and magazines. His paper entitled “Theory appraisal in Islamic economic methodology: purposes and criteria” published in Humanomics (2012) was chosen as a Highly Commended Award Winner at the Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2013. His Ph.D. thesis “The Foundations of Islamic Economics: A Philosophical Exploration of the Discipline” was awarded Gold Medal at the 2012 International Islamic University Malaysia Research, Invention and Innovation Exhibition (IRIIE 2012). Kifah Arifin
Merupakan pelajar tahun akhir Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia, pelajar jurusan Pengajian Strategi ini menjalani latihan industri di The Aceh Institute. Selain itu, Kifah Arifin juga menjadi penterjemah buku, asisten peneliti dan sedang melakukan kajian tentang bagaimana proses demokrasi berlaku di Aceh sebelum dan selepas konflik.

Ismar Ramadani, MA received her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta, Yogyakarta, Indonesia (2004-2008) and a Master Degree in International Relations at the Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia (2009-2012). Heru Syah Putra | Research Fellow
Heru received her bachelor degree in 2008 from the Economics Development Department, Faculty of Economics, Syiah Kuala University, Aceh – Indonesia. In 2016 he completed his master degree in Macroeconomic Policy Program, National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Tokyo-Japan. Some awards and scholarship he won among others, are Scholarship Program for Strengthening the Reforming Institutions from World Bank and Bappenas (2014-2016) and Short Course Scholarship from StuNED Nuffic Nesso, Dutch Government in 2018.
Heru were also invited in several trainings in his fields such as Mastering E-Government and Big Data to Policy Training in Maastricht School of Management – The Netherlands in 2018 and Case Teaching and Case Writing Training from Bappenas in Jogjakarta in 2013. In addition to this, he is also an active trainer in public service administration such as Public Service Innovation Training with AusAID Aceh in 2011-2012, Standard Operational Procedure, Innovation in Government, Strategic Plan for Government Institution, Research Method and Mendeley for Academic Paper in his office, The National Institute of Public Administration since 2011- present.
